Logan HarrisEven though popularity has been dropping, hunting is still a very popular sport, creating a trackable arrow nock to attach to an arrow will help make sure everyone finds their game and no one has to kill an animal and not be able to find it.Using 3d printing the nock will be created with spikes that are parallel to the arrow fletching allowing the arrow to fly as efficiently as it did before. When the arrow hits the animal the spikes will catch the animal and the nock will stick in the animal as the arrow goes through so you can track the deer effectively. The challenge with bow hunting is that the shot is less powerful than a gun and does less damage causing the chances of finding your game drastically go down. If an animal is shot right at dark a blood trail can be very hard to pick up on, this could lead to people having to leave and come back in the morning and finding there animal eaten by coyotes or not finding your kill at all. This will also help older hunters who have troubles navigating through the woods and walking long distances. This will stop people from wandering around the woods looking for blood and wasting time finding it when you could easily look at an app and be able to go directly to your kill. by being able to have people stay put and have a ping that is sent back to an app where you would be able to go directly to the animal. With creating this the main goal is to help hunters find their game and never kill an animal without being able to retrieve your kill because if you can't retrieve the kill then there is no reason to kill an animal.
