This is the third part of my Race Car Project. It is Transmission And Differential Assembly. This model consists of a 5-speed transmission with a reverse gear and a differential.This part of the project created new challenges which I needed to overcome. the main challenge was getting the gears to mesh properly especially since they were helical gears It was vital that the measurements were accurate. Another problem that I faced was the gear ratios, this was simply a case of getting the correct diameter of gear to allow a certain number of teeth so that the gears can rotate at the proper speeds.Parts1.
