Transposition Insulator Pin for standard American threads

Transposition Insulator Pin for standard American threads

thingiverse

For those of you fellow insulator collectors out there, have you ever found that you can't get a piece of pin to really solidly hold your two piece transposition insulators together? 3D printing to the rescue! This is a standard North American-thread insulator pin that's a bit longer than standard and designed to provide solid engagement between the top and bottom pieces of a transposition, making sure they won't fall apart. Credit to Mat Oransky, who figured out how to make the part elegantly. We've included the Fusion 360 f3d file so if anybody wants it as a starting point, they can. I think the STL came out in mm when inches were intended. Just scale up by 25.4
