Trapper fishing rod holder

Alternative to previous design. - Changed clamp mechanism to use quick release handle rather than allen key. - Improved styling I have designed this rod holder to be manufactured by hemp fibre with an eco friendly resin. This will provide a very strong, lightweight body which won't deteriorate easily from constant contact with water. Alternatively the shapes will allow for either casting or machining in aluminium to produce a holder which will last for years. It is a very simple construction with few parts. The main clamping mechanism is a rack and pinion system whereby a threaded bolt is turned by the quick release lever allowing the teeth of the clamp to move along the screw thread. The quick release lever is then pushed close against the clamp body and rests under a stopper to prevent the clamp from coming undone. I have tried to create smooth sleek profiles whilst ensure a strong structure to follow the trapper product range styling. Due to the manufacturing methods available for this holder, it can easily be painted to match the current trapper colour range.
