Travel Bar Soap Container

This a soap dish that I designed for my specific needs when traveling abroad. I thought I'd share my design with anyone who may need it. I designed this entirely in Fusion 360, which I don't have a ton of experience in yet, so this may not be the most efficient design. (I've been using SketchUp for years, but have been trying to switch over to Fusion 360 recently.) This has been designed to fit Dr. Bronner's All One! Pure-Castile Bar Soap specifically but can very easily be scaled to fit other bars. I'll be traveling internationally soon and wanted to try bringing one bar of soap for both body and hair, so I stumbled upon this specific bar of soap. Since I didn't have a container that could hold the bar when traveling, and after not finding a design on here already I decided to design my own. This is three part design. 1. The Base. This helps enclose the bottom of the container when in transit to prevent water/soap from coming into contact with anything else in my bag. If this container will only ever be used at home, then you may not actually need to print the base. 2. The Middle. This is what the bar of soap will rest on, whether in the shower, on the counter, or in transit. It has risers to keep the bar from resting in a pool of water, and has slots below to allow water to drain away. It does have a small lip at the bottom for connecting to the base, which will require supports when printing, but I found that the supports come off very easily with this sort of print. 3. The Top. This helps enclose the top of the container when in transit and also protects the bar when near running water (i.e in the shower). The inside dimension allows just enough space above a brand new bar. (note, flip the top in your splicer before printing, no support is needed when printing with this orientation) I printed this using PLA on an Ender 3 Pro I printed in Low Quality to confirm it all worked, but ended up liking the fit and finish, so I haven't printed it any any higher resolution. 0.28 layer height 20% infill Supports needed (only with Middle) For reference the bar of soap's dimensions are as follows: ~ 30mm x 52.5 mm x 90 mm ~ 1 3/16 in x 2 in x 3 1/2 in Note, I have no affiliation to Dr. Bronner's.
