I don't have a lot of wood working tools, but I do have a modicum of 3D design skill and a printer. My printer is a little small for this project, but I figure I'd release what I have and see if anyone wants to give it ago. I wasn't sure about the rigidity of plastic, so some of the designs I'm working on would allow it to be printed in two halves, glued or slotted together, and then a wooden down inserted to keep it rigid.

I was concerned about the nut and bridge getting worn away with use, so I made these so they're replaceable. I also designed a flat piece of plastic that could be attached to act like a sound board.

Having read Dan's last blog post and watched Chris Russell's review, I noted I had made the neck in a similar “D” shape pattern to Dan's model and angled the holes where the strings are tied to address the same issues. I think I'll add a wider top to help with holding / forming chords.

If you print this, I'd love any feedback you could share.
