***UPDATE 3*** [I have designed the third iteration of paddle tires for my Traxxas Rustler.](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3954707) ***UPDATE 2*** [I made another paddle set that have smaller (and more) paddles.](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3669246) *** UPDATE *** These things dig like crazy and throw sand / gravel 25-30 feet! [Another longer slow motion video in fine sand.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6sBfT2_HoY) [Video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYuHxsQArw8) [Slow motion video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJ5uNbGzaBQ) My son wanted some monster paddle tires for his Rustler 4x4 and 4x2 trucks, so I designed and printed him a set. It was my first time printing with TPU, and I printed these with zero retraction - which left a BUNCH of boogers/zits/drips all over the tires. But now that he has a set, I am trying it again with 3mm retraction and 1.5mm glide. IF it works out better, I'll update the post here. Also, the rims take ~7 hours each - they are made from Hatchbox PLA. And they definitely need support. 6 layers top and bottom 3 perimeters 40% gyroid infill It's pretty beefy, but I'd rather it be a bit heavy than have it break. My first iterations with lower density and perimeters failed spectacularly and I don't want it to happen again. The paddle sleeves take ~13 hours each. They do not need support. 4 layers top and bottom 2 perimeters 20% hexagon infill
