Traxxas Rustler/Stampede/Bandit/Slash 25 degree Caster Blocks

Front 25 degree caster blocks for a variety of Traxxas 2WD vehicles (Rustler, Stampede, Slash, Bandit) with the bearing in hub design. The stock caster blocks on these vehicles have no angle, and therefore match the chassis kickup angle of 30 degrees. Generally speaking, most newer R/C vehicles are running caster angles of less than 30 degrees - for improved high speed steering response. This has become more necessary with the advent of tracks with greater traction than those in the late 80's/early 90's which could be typically dry or slick/loamy. This caster angle, in combination with the trailing axle design is an easier to drive design, but does not lend itself to an aggressive steering feeling. Try both, you may find that you prefer the original 30 degree. These are also printed, so they may not hold up as well as stock design. You need to mount these so that the angle tilts forward (making the hub flatter). I guess you could increase it to 35 degrees if you wanted to, but I don't know why anyone would do that. Some interesting notes, the stock caster blocks actually have a slight interference with the stock steering hubs (15.1 vs 15.4). This is designed to clear the hubs so they should rotate freely (based on the tolerances from my setup). They will also clear both stock and RPM arms. Ream the hinge pin holes with a 2.5 mm drill bit. Tap the mounting hole with a M3 tap. UPDATE: It was brought to my attention that the Bandit version is slightly different. The Bandit uses SRT/Nitro Rustler arms which use 1/8" hinge pins (3.18 mm). In order to work on a Bandit, you will need to ream the hinge pin hole out with a 1/8" drill bit. I may upload a modified version at some point, but in the mean time, enlarge the hole manually or via CAD before printing.
