Traxxas Slash 2WD Front Shock Tower

First version fits well with very little filing. This one needs the support angles to the shock mounts filed a bit to clear the shocks. It also needs just a touch of filing at the bottom so the mounting holes line up. I have a V2 with minor modifications. I was impatient, so I did not print the V2 version yet (haven't even exported to stl yet!) I did print with 30% infill, 0.20mm layers. 9 top / bottom layers, 5 wall line count just to be sure it was solid. Printed in ABS for flexibility and durability over PLA. UPDATE: I uploaded the V2 stl - note that I have NOT printed it yet. I'm assuming the mount points should line up and all should be well, but you know what they say about assuming.... If someone beats me to printing and installing, let me know how it fits and I will adjust and re-upload accordingly. UPDATE V3! I was out racing and hit a rock at the end of the driveway - split the shock mount from the body. So I beefed up the sloped support on the shock mount. I increased the hole size a bit too, as tolerances were a bit tight printing with ABS. Printing with 5 walls and 5 top and bottom layers and 50% infill for strength. I also carved some holes in the towers to reduce material and weight. Printed a beta V3 that needed some filing to accommodate the tops of the shocks, and redesigned and uploaded. Note again, all of the holes line up nicely, but I have not printed and tested the V3 parts as uploaded! UPDATE for V4... Maybe I'm done, maybe not. I just uploaded V4 - I got the big bore shocks and needed a bit more space so I extended the shock mount posts by 1mm. Then I needed to add more area to hold the posts to the body (broke off posts on two towers) so I added the upper cross-brace to help keep the shock posts attached! Printed but not installed - next time it breaks! Print the V4 with supports all (not just platform) NOTE ON UPDATE 4 - I just installed the v4 tower - I needed to trim just a bit off of the body mount - theres a small brace between the vertical and horizontal faces right at the middle of the mount that needed just a small bit of trimming. Other than that, fits nicely! Lets see how it holds up.... Thanks for reading!
