Tray for Primula Drip Coffee Maker

Tray for Primula Drip Coffee Maker

We recently "fired" Keurig as our coffee maker (expensive, wasteful, mediocre coffee) and picked up a $20 Primula one cup drip coffee maker with stainless steel filter as a stop-gap until we figured out which coffee maker to buy next. I'd forgotten how good locally roasted, fresh ground coffee could be. In terms of convenience, it turns out that an electric kettle and the Primula is almost as easy to use as the Keurig. Given the superior coffee, lower cost and zero waste, I can live with measuring a scoop and a quick filter rinse. The only complaint is, the drip maker, well... drips. Frequently a drop of coffee grounds hits the floor on the way to dump the grounds and then you get a little water on the counter after rinsing. No big deal, but I decided to design and 3D print a custom tray to contain the drips, and here it is. Works great, BTW. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 but not critical Infill: 20% Notes: Picture here shows tray printed in PETG with hotend at 250C, bed at 85C but PLA or ABS would work fine too. Designed in FreeCAD 0.16 (will share source on request). I've been using OpenSCAD but find making filets and chamfers really tedious.
