Trebuchet Model

Trebuchet Model

thingiverse

This trebuchet was designed as a series of beams and is assembled using traditional mortise and tenon joints for a traditional look. I included a model so it can be printed fully assembled. See the README for general printing instructions. The trebuchet was designed in custom MATLAB software I wrote that worked out the ideal size of a trebuchet for my printer bed. I printed my model from temporary files which I no longer have. I regenerated the .scad files from MATLAB to upload them, and have not verified them except via OpenSCAD to create the STL files. The image of the bent up paperclip is to show how to make a simple trigger that works well for this machine. This thing is my entry into a 3d printed catapult contest: http://news.typeamachines.com/desktop-warfare-3d-printing-contest/ Here's the video I made for the contest showing this thing in action: http://youtu.be/8E0PPx7GJZo Instructions Full instructions are in the README file.
