I can create a human-designed obj file. The user has created an fbx file. He exports it to a 3ds file, specifically the max format. In max he adds some materials to make them more interesting then converts them for use in other applications. His favorite version of max is 2013, as he has grown accustomed to its quirks and advantages over the years.
