Inspired by http://www.trail-pix.com/ but cheap and plastic. If you're ever heading outdoors with 3 or more trekking poles, and you'd like a tripod, take this instead! Just add your favourite ball mount (I sized it for the Joby ballhead X) and a 1/2" long 1/4-20 hex bolt, and 3 trekking poles. At ~50g printed with PLA @20% infill, this is WAY lighter than your average tripod. Let me know if you have any comments! Instructions I printed in PLA with 20% infill, and no supports using simplify 3d and my rigidbot with e3d v6 hot end. Just drop the bolt in, screw your ball head on top (I had to use the 1/4-20 to 3/8-16 adapter that came with my ball head) and slide 3 trekking pole tips into the tapered openings. Great for astrophotography from the back country.
