This is an attempt at virtualizing my Toronto fossil collection. I believe this is a Treptoceras crebriseptum (Orthocone cephalopod). Photos were taken using a Samsung S7 smartphone. JPEG compression, 1/60s shutter speed, 50 ISO, 2700K WB (2700K, 1600 lumen CFL lighting), fixed manual focus. 3D model was automatically generated using AutoDesk ReMake. I’ll be trying Agisoft and alternate lighting and sharing results and process. I’m also removing some extra photos, as having close together and near-dupliate photos is making the textures blurry in spots.
