Triathlon extension bars - handlebar bridge

thingiverse

When performing a triathlon, you might want to use extension bars, called *prolongateurs*, that you can mount on your bike handlebar. However, using extension bars will reduce the available space for mounting lamps, cameras, and other accessories. This customizable bridge is designed to mount on extension bars spaced 8cm apart, with a diameter of 22.25mm, and it functions as a standard road handlebar (25.4mm). This version is tightened to the extension bars with zipties, through holes provided for this purpose. ## Customizable variables (OpenSCAD) ```js // extension bar diameter, here XLC HB-T03 prolo_diam = 22.25; // distance between both extensions bars (NOT BETWEEN AXIS) true_spacer_width = 80; // usually be 25.4mm / 31.8mm, or 26mm guid_diam = 25.4; // 1 = circle, 2 = oval shape deform_ratio = 1.2; ```
