The energy blade is a fallback melee weapon for when a user runs out of all ammo, and is usually saved as a last resort. However, some professional tribesmen are known to kill their foes with just the energy blade in a crushing show of power to defeat an armed adversary. The energy blade is a sharpened medium blade filled with a type of plasma and is powered by the users energy pool plus a spring-loaded mechanism.
