This derivative of Chainmail by Zomboe features triangle links arranged in a hexagonal lattice, differing from the original's square links and square lattice. An update on June 6, 2011 replaced small triangle connections with trapezoids for easier printing. OpenSCAD files and revised STLs named "v2" are available, along with instructions recommending against relying solely on large STL files due to Zomboe's print challenges. The possibility of Skeinforge repeating patterns on a hexagonal grid is uncertain; alternatively, the "trimailRectangularUnitCell" file can be tried for a rectangular grid arrangement.
