Hi again...Here is a trimmer cap for my old 40V Kobalt lawn trimmer. The old one essentially failed by being worn out and punched into the string housing. This made it difficult to remove after a while. I can buy the caps in the US but I am Canadian and Lowes does not carry it here. In any case I am looking for practice on my fusion360 training and things that can be done on an ender3. So this seemed like a nice little project. If you try one of these on your trimmer perhaps be careful with the spring tabs in printed in PLA. It is hard to match the properties of the flexible plastic that was used by Kobalt. Regardless it fit my trimmer very well. Update (Jul 3 2019)....while it worked well one of the tabs failed on re-installation. I have printed a new one in TPU material. It seemed too soft at first when I took it out of the printer but so far it is working very well and shows signs of being basically indestructible.
