Designed to scare bears and other wildlife, protect perimeter around camp with loud deterrent. 9mm cal !!BLANKS, live rounds will not fit,do not modify, primed cases work great!! clevis pin will have to be sanded on one end into a Round tip capable of detonating the primer. Advantage is they are light and if used properly very simple. easy to back pack and doesn't cause injury to the animals. Design is to produce a loud bang sufficient enough to scare a curious bear away without causing harm to you or said wildlife. Basic idea: Bear trips line pulls rear cotter key and bang. Bear frightened (should run off and not maul you for scaring the crap out of them, down side might be some bear poo in camp, and maybe yours too but no bear. DO NOT USE WHILE STUPID, Serious physical danger can result from improper use. Hearing loss, damage to body or death can occur. use at your own risk.
