Many changes to existing parts this week. Most evident, a complete re design of the bed plate to reflect a cast I beam construction. This greatly reduced the weight of this part and reduced the width of the footprint. The high pressure block has major tweeks to its orientation. The steam accumulator has been moved to the opposite side in preparation of a future throttle valve assembly. The high pressure steam outlet was moved from the front of the block to the operators side of the block. The flanged pipe connection has been upgraded from a standard class 100 pipe spec to a heavier class 300 spec to stay in line with the high pressure design of this engine. Work was done on the upper and lower head flanges to improve engine aesthetics. The low pressure block has a re designed exhaust port The port volume was increased to provide better exhaust flow. Some changes were made to the upper head flange to reflect the changes made to the high pressure block. The changes to these parts are all compatible withe rest of the model and will work with the previouse versions of earlier releases.
