mid-spreader, to lock on to a 6mm dia pin with a centre boss on the tripod 1 inch (~26mm) wide (similar to Cartoni tripods): Requires: 3x Aluminium bar 11.5 x 2mm (nominally 12x2mm), approx 30cms long. + 6 off M3 or M4 screws and lock nuts. (or you could use pop-rivits) The 3 bars can be joined in the middle with a screw/thumbscrew arrangement, and a row of holes would enable different lengths, and variable spread of tripod legs. Alternatively the centre can be hinged (using included "centre hinge" STL and M4x16mm screws. For this to work you need to put a 90 deg 'twist' on the aluminium bar, which is easy to do with a couple of pliers -best done at the tripod-leg end to provide more flexibility if the legs are not spread equidistantly). However, for occasional use I just use a single bolt+butterfly nut. Use M4x 10mm (or 12mm) + lock-nut for the inner lock-screw, and M3/M3.5/M4x3mm for the outer. Ideally the outer hole in the aluminium bar should be tapped/threaded. v1 is a tighter fit on the 6mm tripod rod, depending on the material used it may be too tight, try v2 1st. note: the leg hinges should not be so tight as to twist the spreader and put undue stress on the 'claws'. Aside, I now attach the spreader from below and leave the spreader arms folded up on the tripod (and just attach the butterfly nut when required). Also included: battery cover for the Cartoni Delta.
