This OpenSCAD script will generate a 3-5 part hinged clamp which can be used to attach things to pipes or round bars such as handlebars, pencils, canes etc. It also features a mount for a tripod using the lug washer and bolt hardware supplied with the Makerbot Cyclops 3D scanner kit The script is highly parametric but does require you to pull in some premade .stl's at present and is currently sized for 18mm diameter wooden dowel and a cheap Kendo-s200 tripod at present Mouse ears can be added to the base part easily by changing a boolean control variable This is currently being used as part of a wireless sensor network base-station design. @version 0.3 @date 2012_07_24 @todo @warning @note Changes from previous versions: v0.3 allowed you to lie the clamps sideways for easier manufacturing (printing without support material) added cylindrical cutouts on clamps and base to aid assembly using pieces of filament v0.2 Use updated 2012_07_23-Pipe_Clamp-v0_5.stl v0.1 first attempt based on 2012_06_11-Pipe_Clamp-v0_4.scad stl output Instructions Download all relevant files Choose suitable values in "2012_07_23-Pipe_Clamp-v0_5a.scad" to generate .stl clamps of appropriate size (or use supplied "2012_07_23-Pipe_Clamp-v0_5a.stl") Choose suitable values in "2012_07_23-Tripod_Mount-v0_1.scad" to generate .stl of tripod lug of appropriate type (or use supplied "2012_07_23-Tripod_Mount-v0_1.stl") Choose suitable values in "2012_07_24-tripod_clamp-v0_3b.scad" to generate a clamp mount for your setup (or just use supplied "2012_07_24-tripod_clamp-v0_3b.stl")
