This is a Thingiverse remix of Riker the Sergal pivot bracket for a Targus tripod - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2311131 which was the closest model available in my search for entry level generic aluminum tripods with plastic mounts and joints. However, the hole for the washer that fits around the metal arm was really close to the pivot point so I backed it off a bit. I also added extra clearance between the two mating surfaces of the collar and removed the circular impression for where a cosmetic sticker cap goes over the square-headed bolt to simplify the design and print.

My particular tripod is a Samsonite 2600. Please feel free to contact me if they upload their original design to Prusaprinters.org so that I may link the remix here appropriately.

Print Settings

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

20%

Notes:

The fit around the pivot point of the tripod mount will be tight, just give it a solid push until it grabs on. The interlocking fingers with the quick mount plate that controls the roll of the camera will also likely be tight. Not necessarily a bad thing, it will prevent sloppy adjustment especially if you have a heavy camera. The metal screws are there to arrest all movement, anyway.
