Intro

A tool to help erecting a pencil, or chopstick upright. I made this to help with the junior class experiment on using heated air current to rotate some object (e.g. Rotating lantern), which requires a very sharp pivot point at some distance above the table.

The STL file

The object has around 8cm in diameter and 2cm in height, with M3 screw hole on the side. The photos shows how it looks with a 2cm M3 screw in it.

The SCAD file

To customize the object, you can use the SCAD file IN CONJUNCTION with the “thread module”. (Put the thread.scad file into the same folder where “low profile tripod.scad” resides)
