I designed these to mimic the base pads from my Tripp Research Cobra Mags. Perfect for 1911 with mag well. Hogue Magrips pictured. I have these pads fitted to both 8rnd KimPro Tac-Mags and 7rnd Springfield mags. Both of mine had screw holes pre-drilled but I had to tap the SA holes. #4-40 screws were used. THESE PADS REQUIRE REMOVAL OF THE TONGUE ON THE MAG TUBE BASE!!! YOU WILL VOID ANY MAG WARRANTY FOR WELDED MAGS AND MAY WANT TO REFINISH BLUED MAGS AFTER GRINDING. Side-by-side pics include both mags with the printed pads as well as the original Tripp mag.
