It is NOT a good idea to use a filament guide that is perched on the top cross-beam of the printer, because the whole extruder carriage will be pulled up (every so slightly, but enough to be noticeable on your prints) when the extruder tugs on the filament. Instead, use a spool on the side (preferable with a 'frictionless' balanced bearing spool-holder), and use this filament guide which i. ensures that the filament enters the extruder straight, and i. reduces the force of unspooling the filament on the extruder's Hobb wheel. Install by simply gluing it to the steel U-frame of the extruder carriage.
