Tronxy X5S X5SA Linear Rail Upgrade

This is an upgrade for the Tronxy X5S series of printers. I executed this on my X5SA with great results. This uses mainly the stock components, and needs very little hardware purchased for this upgrade. Very happy with how this turned out and the improvement in print quality. You will need: 3 - 400mm MGN12H linear rails with the longer carriages (I bought from AliExpress) 5 meters of belt Hardware: 24 - M3 T-Nuts 32 - M3 x 8mm button screws 8 - M4 T-Nuts 4 - M4 Nylock nuts 4 - M4 x 40mm button screws 8 - M4 x 8mm button screws 6 - M5 Nylock nuts 4 - M5 x 30mm button screws 2 - M5 x 32mm button screws (you will have these when you disassemble the current carriages) 1. Print out all components. You will need 1 of each, and 2 of "X bot plate upper LR" and "X bot plate lower LR". 2. Disassemble your printer's XY mechanism. 3. Mount your linear rails to the outside of the 2020 profile for the X, and on top of the 2020 profile for the Y. 4. Mount the motor mounts using the stock screws. 5. Mount all the idlers in the X idle pulley mounts using the 5mmx30 screws and nylocks. 6. Mount the idlers in a stack in the Y idle pulley mounts, with a lock washer in between the idlers to ensure smooth motion. Use the 5mmx32 screws and nylocks. 7. Mount the x and y idler pulley brackets on the frame and on the x-axis rails. 8. Disassemble the carriage, remove all wheels from carriage. 9. Re-assemble carriage using stock hardware, but replacing the upper 2 wheels with the "Carriage Adapter". Reassemble the carriage, and mount on the y-axis rail. 10. Use the X bot plate upper and lower to attach the y-axis 2020 profile to the x-axis idler mounts. 11. Mount the Y switch bracket in place of the stock one. 12. Move the X switch up to the top hole to catch the x idler mount. 13. Install new belts (the old ones are too short for this mod), adjust and tension, and you should be good to go!
