Trophy Design for the 3D Printing Industry Awards 2017

*Note, this is the first time I have uploaded an object and entered a competition. Apologies for any mistakes on my part* This is my design for the "official trophy 3D Design competition". Being a Student (and very new to 3D printing), I unfortunately do not have the resources to be able to print this design out. However, the simplicity of the design should ensure it works beautifully when printed. (If someone could try it, I would love to see it!). After a few iterations of similar designs, I eventually came to this. Yes, okay it might not exactly be "pushing the boundaries of 3D printing", but I am restricted to what I know about the industry. Having said this, I feel as though I have still created a very solid, genuine product that would stand proud within anyones trophy cabinet. Using flashprints slicer, I got a print time of around 12 hours (720 minutes) with 72m of material. However, I feel as though a far superior slicer would be able to reduce material cost and print time massively by using different infill densities at different parts of the print (I, ofcourse, do not have access to such software currently). In conclusion, the design works beautfilly as a trophy and it's one piece design means little/no assembly is required. Although I regret not being able to print it myself and upload my own picture, I am certain the design is very printable, especially on a high end machine. Thankyou to those who have held the competition as I had a great deal of fun making the object, and have learnt a lot from it. Recommended Settings:Layer Height : 0.2 mm or 0.1 mmInfill : 10% -20%Top and Bottom Layers: 3-4Raft/Brim : Not NecessarySupport : Yes, due to '2017' lettering having significant overhang. Supports should not be required on main trophy body, however.
