A case study performed on the design and optimization of fuel tank hanger (blue in color).Design Constraints: • Should carry a load of 410 KG fuel tank (fully loaded)• Should withstand 3G acceleration force in X, Y and Z directions• Should be easily manufacturable• Should be made of AluminiumI as the mechanical designer designed the chassis and the bracket, then simulated the truck over a speed bump and recorded various plots. This project was very entertaining as I could learn how a truck chassis is connected to all of its drive train and how a leaf suspension behaves when subjected to changes in the road profile.
