This is a valveless trumpet (bugle) built from a trumpet model with the valve assembly replaced by a transition tube. *The original trumpet CAD model was created by Zsombor Baka and placed on [https://grabcad.com/library/trumpet-9](https://grabcad.com/library/trumpet-9) on January 22, 2016 . *The mouthpiece was created by Valdecir Ferreira and placed on [https://grabcad.com/library/trumpet-mouthpiece-3](https://grabcad.com/library/trumpet-mouthpiece-3) on April 27, 2015. *I have updated the model to a 11.66 mm (0.459") bore size and have increased the tubing thickness from 0.75 mm to 1.67 mm for 3D printing. *Based on results given by David Gibson in his paper "Novel Designer Plastic Trumpet Bells for Brass Instruments", [http://dx.doi.org/10.14236/ewic/EVA2016.3](http://dx.doi.org/10.14236/ewic/EVA2016.3), I have modified the bell thickness from 0.75 mm to 4 mm in an attempt to better match the plastic vibratory response with that of brass. *I have designed the receiver end of the leadpipe to accept the mouthpiece with a zero gap to the receiver internal step. If you want to set the gap to 3mm just file 3 mm off the end of the mouthpiece. *Once I am satified with the tone of this valveless trumpet, I will be releasing a trumpet assembly with working valves based on the same CAD files.
