<p>A conceptual design of what a house made to withstand a tsunami may look like. Made for a Grade 9 Geography project. It has carbon nanotube tethers and electromagnets that will repel each other to make it float mid-water. It can also generate its own power and filter water via the turbine and solar panel on top and filter on the back during the tsunami. It can be connected to the city’s resources via the pipes on the back. To protect it, the house will be made of steel, reinforced with coatings of metalic glass (amorphus metal) and silicone for waterproofing. Plexiglass will also be used for the solar panel and windows which are covered during the tsunami for further protection.
