TTC Bus - Automotive Model

This model showcases the design of the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) bus that operates in the city where Mosaic operates. This project also includes wheels and a bus shelter (which has room for users to stamp a design or ad of choice)! 1) For minimized bleeding of darker colours (such as red, blue, grey and black) into lighter colours, it is recommended that users set the variable transition lengths to strong and increase the “maximum transition length” (Project Settings>Transition>Variable Transition Lengths). A recommended “maximum transition length” for this print is 220 mm because colours such as white and yellow are prone to bleeding. 2) This model is split into three separate prints: one for the bus itself, one for the bus shelter and one for four wheels (which can be taped or glued onto the bus). Custom supports are needed for the bus near the front and back where there is a shallow incline (Project Settings>Supports>Turn On). Automatic supports are also needed for the bus shelter in order to create the roof. Opting for white filament for the supports on the bus can help reduce the appearance of marks left by supports (clear filament is recommended for the bus shelter). Please check the names of the files to determine which file belongs to which part. 3) It is recommended that users print both the bus and wheels of this model at a size of at least 125% to ensure that the smaller details on the bus, such as the text and lights, print clearly. Please ensure that both prints are scaled by the same amount. The bus shelter will need to be scaled down, to around 40%, to coordinate with the size of the bus. 4) If a stamp is used for the bus shelter, to add a design or ad, KISSlicer must be used to slice the project. To include an ad without requiring stamping, users can print an ad separately and glue it on. 5) Project Difficulty: 4/5
