For instance, you can create a shroud to cover a 40mm fan with specific diameter (with optional grating) and attach a hose of a different diameter. The parameters are adjustable, offering flexibility. The 60-degree angle transition works well on many printers. Several scad files for mounting 40mm or 80mm fans to 1.25-inch flexible hose are also available. These models have been used for exhausting ABS fumes in a printer. If you need to plug holes while allowing cables through, try the linked thing on Thingiverse. The creator's parametric enclosure is also available there. For optimal 40mm fan shroud settings, use the provided parameters. OpenSCAD file contains complete instructions.
