Turn your cardboard tubes into containers! I have lots of little pieces laying around my 3D printer and a kitty who loves to play with little plastic pieces, so I wanted a nice cheap easy container - I have plenty of empty toilet rolls and paper towel rolls, but couldn't find a cap that fit nicely and was easy to pull off. So I made this thing. There are two types, Tall for a 10mm tall tube cap, provides a lot bit more grab, but a little harder to regularly pull in and out, and a Short one (6.75mm) that has a little less grab, making it easier to remove. There is a little pull bar to make it easier to pull out, I modeled it off the post office tubes that only have a small lip to pull on, but i wanted something that could give you more pulling power so that I could retain the tighter fit for more security. My hobby printer handles the bridge fine with no supports, the files are all the right way up for best printing. If you have trouble with the bridge, let me know, I can come up with a support / edit for you, *UPDATE* Some paper tubes are slightly different sizes so I have been asked to make ones smaller/ larger. You can see the files starting with L for Larger (approx 1mm larger) and S for smaller (1mm smaller) The ones that I find fit most rolls are left unsized. *UPDATE*: I have also added a wide brim version of the regular size that makes the cap flush with the outside edge of the rolls. Just for aesthetics. *UPDATE*: I have added a bottom cap/plug that does not have a pull tab, It is very simple, but the short one can still be pulled ou, tall one is pretty snug, i wouldn't recommend it for easy removal. SIZES: **diameter is approx as they are very malleable** L = Large to fit approx 42mm - 43mm diameter (unlabeled) = Regular to fit approx 41mm - 42mm S = Small to fit approx 40mm - 41mm XS = Extra Small - to fit 39mm - 40mm (this fits an Australian Quilton tp roll) XS Short takes about 15 minutes and 4g of 1.75 pla Large Tall takes about 30 minutes and 6g of 1.75 pla
