Turnout/Switch Under Table Servo Mount

The servo control system for turnouts and switches is mounted on a sturdy layout/table bracket. Designed specifically for SG90 micro servos, these brackets are easily obtainable from popular online marketplaces like eBay. The holes in the bracket perfectly align with the screws used to secure the servo in place, making installation a breeze. My 1/2-inch plywood layout features an added layer of protection and insulation courtesy of two layers of 1/2-inch foam boards, topped off with a durable cork roadbed. To attach the servo control system, I start by drilling a precise 3/8-inch hole directly through the layout board. Next, I center the bracket over this newly created access point and secure it firmly in place using screws. To complete the setup, I thread .032-gauge wire through the hole in the bracket and up into the gap between the tracks. The result is a seamless connection that allows for effortless control of my turnouts and switches. Be sure to check back soon for additional photos showcasing this innovative setup.
