Turntable made from empty filament spools and a tin can

A way of using the 3D printer to turn stuff that ould otherwise be rubbish into something useful, You'll need two empty Amazon Basicfil spools and an empty tin can (the ones that with a ring pull are best) For the basic turntable, you'll need to print two each of the 'spool can base' and 'spool plug 2' files. If you're using a ringpull type can like Heinz etc, you should also print the can safety rim file which slots in the top of the can and stops you cutting your fingers on the sharp edge. Push the spool plug through the spool base as shown in the photo and then press this into the central hole on the spool. You can then fir the can into the spool base. Do the same for the other end of the can making sure you fit the safety rim first. Put the top spool onto the plug and you will have a freely spinning turntable. I have also added optional extra files for adding drawers to the spools for keeping small items stored away. There is also a plate which slots into the grooves in the top spool. This plate can be attached to the bottom of a cake board if the turntable is to be used for icing (frosting) to prevent the cake from slipping off.
