TV-B-Gone Remote Control Case

I built a TV-B-Gone Kit and wanted a case for it. There are some here on Thingiverse but none that tickled my fancy. My design is a little different, that it has a momentary switch between the battery and the TV-B-Gone. When first powered on, the TV-B-Gone starts transmitting codes. When I press the momentary switch, power is applied to the board and it starts turning off TV's. When I let go, it stops (and the battery is no longer connected to the board). This case was printed out of ABS on an Afinia H Series printer. Instructions Here are the parts you'll need: -Printed top -Printed bottom -Dual AAA battery holder from Radio Shack -Mini Momentary Switch from Radio Shack p/n 275-0003 -One of those screws that hold a CD Drive to your computer case First, print the two halves. I found it best to print them standing up on the back of the remote. Next, drill out the hole so that the switch shaft fits loosely in it. I left the hole a little small in the model so I could get a nice round hole by drilling it out. A 5/32 (0.156) inch bit worked great for me. I didn't do this but would next time: Glue the switch and battery holder into the top case first, then solder the connections. I used hot glue. The switch just interrupts the connection of the battery to the TV-B-Gone. Route the wires so that they won't interfere with the two halves coming together. The geometry of the case will hold the TV-B-Gone board and will not need glue. Put the halves together and secure with the screw. Turn off TVs!
