TV Remote

The styles and designs of most TV remotes are not very ergonomic or practical for use. While some remotes are well designed most are not. TV remotes should be comfortable in the hand and should be able to be used in a simple manner without any complex or confusing processes. The remotes should be reshaped so they are comfortable to hold and all buttons are easily accessible with the use of only one hand. The remote should be rounded and the height, depth, and width should be decreased in order to achieve a more ergonomic shape and thus more comfortable and practical. The use of the remote should be simplified such as the removal of multi-purpose buttons that do different things in different situations. Limiting the number of buttons does simplify the remote but in most cases this only complicates the remote because they use multi-purpose buttons to lower the number of total buttons. There are also simple remote designs for some TVs but they are so simple that they are impractical and have very little functionality. TV remotes now are all too simple, complex and/or uncomfortable, and are in desperate need of a redesign to fix the problems. My design includes a more comfortable shape and the right amount of buttons, to make the remote both functional and simple.
