Twilight Imperium has a hextile board that loves to shift around during gameplay. I have searched for quite awhile for a modular board rig to print off to hold it together, but all i could find was either a magnetic solution (and not a very good one imo) or a boarder print, which takes a lot of material since you need to print off several sizes. So i managed to make my own. This is the first thing beyond a simple box or card holder ive designed myself, so the pegs arent perfectly aligned but they connect just fine. You need to print off 61 of the HexTiles to accommodate an 8 player game. Pegs can be used on the outside ring alone and it will hold the internal hexes down just fine. Lateral motion the structure is pretty resistant to, but the pegs tend to pop out if you lift it off the table. Print at 0.2mm layerheight. No supports 100% infil (my normal wall widths forced a 100% infil its so thin) Pegs can be a bit difficult to get off the print bed w/o breaking them but theyre pretty sturdy when handling.
