Twist Lid for Gatorade Bottles

Twist Lid for Gatorade Bottles

I'm a big fan of the Gatorade twist tops that used to be available on the watermelon bottles. Unfortunately I can no longer find any Gatorade bottles with this lid so I decided to reproduce the model before it gets lost in the sands of time. Originally an injection moulded part, there are a few design features and dimensions that aren't very printer-friendly which is why there will ultimately be a few choices. One is the original, exactly as it was, and the others will have various tweaks by me for better FFF printing. Tweaks so far: - Walls are now 0.8 instead of 1.0 - Mouthpiece seal now supported with 5 spokes instead of 3 - Mouthpiece is not a shell (solid) - Connector is now a third distinct piece - 0.1 thickness added to underside of overhang to enable slicers & printers to print I've been genuinely impressed with how well this has turned out, and it should be relatively trivial to modify this design to fit for any bottle once the kinks have been ironed out. Latest Update: Unfortunately it's proving very difficult to make a design that's actually water-tight so the "optimised" design is still only 90% functional. It works, but not "backpack-able" yet.
