Twisted LM8UU bushing for i3 Mega
thingiverse
Thanks to "Loughkb" for the original design, which I also remixed to create a quieter i3 Mega. I soon found out that the lubricant wouldn't spread evenly and so I gave the bushing a small twist to push the lube across every time it slides and get a better coating on the 8mm rod. After printing, you will need to sand or grind down a little inside to fit your specific printer. It takes just a few seconds and requires getting it just right - too tight of a fit can cause motors to struggle and possibly skip - but it's worth the effort to eliminate pre-mounted maracas bearings. For reduced friction on the bedplate, using 3 stock bearings, you can split this design into 20mm chunks.
