The Twister III is a F5B electric glider from ICARE rc. It has a 1.7 wing span and the motor mount is 36mm in diameter. The total diameter of the standoff is 40mm. I used carbon fibre rods to run from the inrunner to the nose of the plane to give it more strength. I just drilled some holes in the inrunner to fit the carbon fibre and glued it into the inside of the nose of the plane. I used 30 min epoxy. Had a pretty good bump on the maiden landing which I though would have broken it loose (gusty wind) but she held up! Note: This saved me 9-10 oz of lead!!! (over half a pound!) Now I have a fast plane that is NOT a lead sled. She has all the gliding characteristics AND goes fast! AUW: 2.5 lbs of FAST and LIGHT electric glider. Smiles all around! final words: This only took me about 15 minutes to design. Use my design as a foundation and make one for yourself by scaling it up or down accordingly :)
