Two-Part Knife Block cnc/laser

When storing knifes in a household with kids it's not the best idea to use a classic knife block. I designed this two-part construction to be stored horizontally in a drawer – and therefore out of reach of the children. It shares the design-principle with Stabilo Stand, but uses M5 threaded bars instead of normal screws. The build was done on a desktop cnc-machine from Stepcraft from 6.5 mm birch plywood using a spiral-toothed 1.2 mm flute. I finished the knife block with hardwax oil to intensify the wood structure and to make it water-resistant. Visit https://www.zenziwerken.de/en/ for more interesting designs.
