This mod was created specifically to resolve the issue of y-axis wobble in the Two Up setup. Two custom pillow blocks elevate the bed about 3 millimeters, enabling four linear bearings to support the y-axis movement. By doing this, most of the wobble that results from the belt's moment exerted on the table's right side is eliminated. To complete this mod, two additional LM8LUU bearings are required for purchase. For construction, sixteen M4 screws and their respective sixteen M4 nuts are needed. Additionally, twelve M3 screws and twelve M3 nuts are necessary. One of the key advantages of this modification is that it is completely reversible, making it easy to undo if needed. These steps provide a detailed guide on how to implement this solution: The primary goal of this design is to address a widespread issue affecting some users. For those who want to take advantage of four bearings, it's essential to print two sets of the dual pillow blocks in mirrored configurations. This will ensure that the y-axis wobble problem is effectively tackled. Experimenting with three linear bearings using the single pillow block can also be done. Mount your chosen bearings onto their designated spaces using M3 screws and nuts to facilitate case shrinkage around them. Position the pillow blocks inside their slots on the wooden frame for proper alignment, mark, drill, and then bolt 16mm down into place through holes previously drilled. By sliding an 8mm shaft through each bearing set, perfect alignment will be achieved, making this setup easier than before.
