In particular, since the plate type of "Arca-Swiss dovetail", a representative tripod head fixing method for amateur photographers, and the plate type of "Mantfrotto 501", which is a light type 501 video head, are different, it was cumbersome and cumbersome to change the plate each time according to the equipment. I wanted to create a dovetail plate that could be used without plate replacement for both types. In the form of a square plate, the horizontal direction is designed according to the Alka Swiss Dovetail plate standard, and the vertical direction is custom designed according to the Manfrotto 501 plate standard. However, due to physical length limitations, the full length of the Manfrotto 501 cannot be used, so the fixation is a bit unstable compared to the original type. A 1/4' screw is required to secure the plate to the camera or cage. When fastening with 1 screw, the plate is designed so that it can be securely fixed with 2 or 3 screws, as the plate and the fixing side of the camera slide or rotate easily when strong force is applied to the camera or tripod. Due to the limitations of 3D printing materials, there is a risk of the plate breaking and separating when used with heavy camera equipment or under excessive force operating conditions. Care should be taken as it has not been tested for any camera load or force applied. To increase the strength of the plate, print by increasing the percentage of infill in the printing options.
