ok so type a machines ships there 2014 series 1 with a filament holder. they also ship with a tiny bit of filament. and if your like me and want to print large size objects then your going to want filament. lucky for me my home depot has the makerbot and filament for it. bad part is the spool that is used to hold the filament is very large. and the spool holder cannot hold that size spool well good news i made a spool holder that can be used to hold makerbots larger spools very well. my design requires you to drill the holes a bit larger for the screws to hold the printed part . but the final product works great. using the spool holder in combination with the lower guide designed by jmungapen001 you get great prints and no dragging sounds from the filament rubbing against the plate Instructions using cura settings are quality layer height (mm) 0.30 shell thickness (mm) 0.8 enable retraction (yes, or check the box) fill bottom/ top thickness (mm) 0.8 fill density (%) 8.0 speed and temperature print speed (mm/s) 90 printing temperature (c) 220 support support type none platform adhesion type none filament diameter (mm) 1.75 flow (%) 100.0
