GrabCAD
As part of a group project a model for wind tunnel testing was required. Due to the dimension of the 3D printing bed the model had to be scaled down and RE number calculated to match with the scaled down model. This resulted in an increase of test velocity. To prevent further reduction in scale, to fit the printing bed and attain a test velocity within the range of incompressible flow. The model was halved - as seen in the picture usng the assumption the flow field would be symmetric. The model could then be mounted at the designed CoG as an advantage.
