UFC Octagon (Remix)

thingiverse

This is a remix of the UFC Octagon by LarsBroersen which can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4651426. The pole and fence .stl files are exactly the same as the original source. The only change I made was to swap the UFC lettering on the octagon floor to the official UFC logo, and instead of having the letters recessed into the floor, I have them raised 0.5 mm on top of the floor to allow for an optional filament change as shown in the photos. At a 0.2 mm layer height, the filament change happens at layer 51, but you'll want to verify this with the settings in your slicer. In case you want to remix this yourself, I've also provided the UFC logo in .stl format. All parts print without supports, and as LarsBroersen noted in his original design, "some parts need to be finished with sandpaper to fit." He was probably referring to where the poles fit into the holes on the octagon floor. I didn't have any sandpaper, but I was able to shave off some of the circumference of the octagon poles with my filament cutter, and then I gently tapped the poles into the octagon floor with a hammer. Hope you enjoy, and many thanks to LarsBroersen for a great idea! Update: Instead of just letting my octagon sit around and collect dust, I decided to add a cover so it can function as a storage container. Just be aware that while the octagon cover conveniently fits into the groove of the octagon floor, it does not snap in place.
