UK Light Switch Cover

I love my Hue light bulbs... I don't love it when they get turned off at the switch and I can't remotely control them! I found there is plenty of ways to disable US style light switches but nothing for us over here across the pond... I designed this part for a standard single gang UK light switch and it should work for most single and twin switches. I put some holes in the front so that you can use any sort of thin stick to operate the switches should you absolutely need to (I sized the holes for the little plastic sticks used to make cotton buds with the fluffy bit cut off.) Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: P3Steel Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Notes: I printed this two ways, both worked so its really down to your printer and preferences. Print it laying down flat with support material under the raised part. Print it vertically, you will probably need to use a brim as the footprint on the bed will be pretty small, I had a few come loose before I added the brim. I printed it in silver PLA, but I'm sure almost any other type of filament you like would work! Post-Printing Be Safe! Before doing this, turn off the power to your lights at the consumer unit. If you aren't sure how to do this then get some help.... this job isn't for you! Remove Screws Take the two screws out that hold the switch face to the back box and thread them through the printed part. Attach to Wall Re attach screws to the front of the switch, through the printed part and make sure they're not over tightened. Power It Up Turn the power back on at the consumer unit and use anything thin enough to poke through the cover and set the switches to be on.
