UK Socket Switch Cover

UK Socket Switch Cover

thingiverse

While far from original (I see many similar existing implementations), I did independently come up with the idea and drew up the dimensions from technical documents of the type G plug. I find that existing solutions seem to prevent quick access to the switch while preventing accidentally toggling the switch unless one happens to have superhuman dexterity. So I devised this simple solution to allow for preventing the accidental bump while allowing for relatively access if necessary. The cover part is definitely not meant to be sturdy, but rather can be printed quickly, cheaply and be destroyed relatively easily if needed, while just enough to prevent accidental bumps. The entire cover is printed in 2 pieces to avoid have supports, allow for even better access to the switch by disassembling the cover piece without physically unplugging, and for easy customisation of the cover piece to suit individual situations. (Mine was customised to fit the particular shape of my extension block with an angled switch. I also provided a more generic piece that people can customise with a wire cutter rather than messing with the stl files.) Files with opposite orientation are NOT provided, there should be such options with the slicers.
